Guy Russo, Conductor
Guy Russo has been involved in music and theater in the Pittsburgh area for many years, both as a performer and music director/conductor. His association with the Savoyards goes back to his high school days, when he was cast in the chorus of his first G & S show, which, coincidentally, was "Patience". He later appeared as Captain Corcoran in "H.M.S. Pinafore", and Nanki-Poo in "The Mikado". Russo has performed with opera companies and symphonies throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. He has sung a number of roles with the Pittsburgh Opera and Pittsburgh Opera Theater, and has been the tenor soloist at Shadyside Presbyterian Church, Rodef Shalom and Temple Sinai. Russo has been the resident music director for CCAC-South Campus Summer Theater for over ten years. He is currently the director of music at Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon, the choral director for CMU's Pre-College Summer Institute, and director of voval music at Swickley Academy.
